Our keynote speaker will be Klint Walker, a cyber security expert from the Department of Homeland Security. Registration will open soon.

The presentation will involve the Cyber Security landscape and current and emerging threats and the role of DHS and the Cyber Security Advisor (CSA) program. CSAs provide direct coordination, outreach, and regional support in order to protect cyber components essential to the sustainability, preparedness, and protection of the Nation’s Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources (CIKR) and State, Local, Territorial, and Tribal (SLTT) governments. CSA Walker will show an overview of DHS Cyber Security services aimed at developing collaboration and partnerships for: * Cyber Preparedness * Risk Mitigation * Incident & Information Coordination * Cyber Policy Promotion & Situational Awareness

Klint Walker’s Biography:

Klint Walker is the newly appointed Cyber Security Advisor for Region IV which covers Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. With 17 years of Cyber Security experience in both the government and private sector, Klint provides expertise to assist critical infrastructure owners and operators to improve their cyber security posture. Additionally, he provides support and guidance for State, Local, Territorial and Tribal government cyber security programs. Mr. Walker has previously held positions as an Information Systems Security Officer for the Department of Health and Human Services and Chief Information Security Officer for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC).
